Our products include koboku (fragrant woods),beautifully art-worked Kodo tools, selected stick incenses from natual materials, hand-made sachets with Japanese fabrics, and traditional Japanese variety goods which are suitable for souvenirs.
KODO
Kodo is one of three major traditional arts, along with Sado (Tea Ceremony) and Kado (Flower Ceremony), which were established around 16th century (Muromachi Period). In Kodo you can enjoy rich smell of koboku (fragrant woods) and seek spiritual depth through the form of incense games.
KOBOKU
Koboku (fragrant woods) which are used in Kodo are such as Kyara (aloeswood), Jinko (agarwood) and sandalwood. They are extremely rare materials found only overseas. In Kogado we have variety of koboku products.
EVENTS
Also we hold regular classes and irregular events of Kodo, Sado, and flower knots in our Japanese style room. Kodo lessons are also carried in Tokeiji temple, some elementary and high school. We are more than happy if we could help you fully enjoy Japanese traditional incense culture.
